The restaurant’s atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors, is appreciated, though outdoor seating can be limited during peak times. Overall, Sa Domu Sarda is recommended for its delicious traditional cuisine, efficient service, and warm ambiance, making it a favored spot for both locals and visitors.
I loved the Purpuzza (pork sausage). Loved the flavours. The Malloreddus were nice. I liked the al dente texture but I was not fully convinced with the sauce flavour. Felt like the tomato was not fully cooked. It was a very nice plate of food anyway. Great service
A beautiful looking restaurant with food to match. The portions were large and quality high. The pork knuckle was really impressive. Prices are ok given the good food. Was a nice atmosphere inside this popular restaurant and service was very professional.
We started with the meatballs as an appetizer, followed by two different types of pasta. Everything was very tasty. The service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the outdoor seating was completely full when we arrived around 9 PM, but we were able to get a table inside after a short wait.
It's a nice place to eat. The food is excellent. We only had to wait a few minutes to be seated.
Excellent experience. The staff is very attentive and well organized. Food is gorgeous. From the pasta dish, through the main course till desert everything was perfect. We can personally recommend most the horse steak (juicy & tender!) and ravioli with leeks and saffron, but everything we tried was really good. Heavily recommended place! If you do not make a reservation, better come at the opening time.
Cozy street restaurant with a very friendly service. Without any doubt, the best culurgiones in town, so far. We tried both options and they were both amazing. The courgette appetizer was a delight and the grilled pecorina awesome. Tiramisu and cheesecake were delicious.
Great experience at Sa Domu Sarda! The food was amazing, full of rich local flavors that really reflect Sardinian cuisine. The service stood out too, everyone was so warm and helpful, which made the meal even more enjoyable. It’s a shame you can’t book a table on the terrace, so we had a short wait, but it wasn’t a big deal. If you're in Cagliari and want something traditional, this is the place to go.
We were recommended this place by locals in Cagliari as one of the city’s best, and they couldn’t have been more right! Everything was absolutely top! from the flavors to the atmosphere. If you can, try some of the Sardinian specialties; they’re a real treat. Just a tip: it’s best to book a table in advance, as it’s a popular spot for good reason. Highly recommended!
